Dupont State Bank

In 1910 a small group of investors raised the capital to establish and open the Dupont State Bank in Dupont, Indiana.  Their desire was to have a community bank that would serve the community and that was also owned by the individuals of the community.

Dupont State Bank still maintains the original location in Dupont as its main office.  The bank is located on NW Front St. and is still housed in its original, now over 100 year old building.

in 1989, Dupont State Bank opened a branch in nearby Vernon, Indiana on the courthouse square.  This location helped the Bank to establish a base in Jennings County.  The Vernon branch was moved to its current location of 220 N State St., in North Vernon, Indiana in 2003.  In 2007, after extensive growth, a Loan and Operations building was added as a third location beside the North Vernon branch.  In April 2009, a fourth branch opened in Seymour Indiana at 1725 E. Tipton St.

Over the years Dupont State Bank has continued to prosper and grow, all the while maintaining their ties and support for the local community of Dupont.  The bank has provided all the communities it serves with “Decades of Sound Banking” and is very proud of being able to carry out the vision of its founders.

In addition to this heritage, however, Dupont State Bank is also eagerly anticipating the future.  The Bank looks forward to continuing present relationships while establishing new ones as well.  Dupont State Bank hopes to always be “Small Enough to Know You, Big Enough to Serve You”
